Paladin is the most fun to progress. But half of lost ark player base jsut want to get bussed anyway so they don't care. There's definitely an issue with how paladins are generally perceived. My favourite class is arcanist, but it's not really a good choice for a new player. Very investment heavy and takes quite a bit of practice to pilot it. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass.
